Responsibilities

As a Pricing Analyst, your primary duties will include analyzing statistical data, such as product mix, purchase history, market segment, and price sensitivity and construct probability tables to forecast optimum pricing structure by customer and/or product line to maximize gross profit. In addition, you will develop or apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information.

 

Other responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst role include:

  • Analyzing, interpreting, and identifying relationships and trends in data
  • Evaluating the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Reporting results of statistical analyses in meetings to audiences such as purchasing, outside sales, and sales management
  • Developing an understanding of products and customers to which statistical methods are to be applied to determine whether methods and results are appropriate
  • Clearly communicating and disseminating pricing rules throughout the division and monitoring exceptions
  • Conferring with Sales and Management to stay abreast of changes in the market that impact pricing and expected business volume
  • Maintaining all pricing in E-Catalog and the online configurator as well as creating and distributing pricing pages

Qualifications

We are seeking highly analytical candidates who are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving, research, deductive reasoning, and communication skills. Qualified candidates should be hardworking, technically savvy, and able to think conceptually.

 

Other requirements of the Pricing Analyst role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, or related field
  • Mastery of Excel with statistical analysis as well as basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Access
