The Customer Service Representative is a part of our Inside Sales team and the day-to-day point of contact with customers in a wholesale business-to-business environment. You will help customers with order placement by answering customer questions concerning product lines, pricing, credit terms, delivery schedules, product uses, and inventory levels. This position also serves as support to our Outside Sales staff.

 

Other responsibilities of the Customer Service role include:

  • Checking inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise
  • Keeping records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Entering orders and recording comments as well as actions taken
  • Upselling and suggesting add-ons or related products
  • Resolving customer service issues or billing complaints
  • Exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills
  • Initiating product procurement for approval of inter-branch transfer of merchandise
  • Notifying appropriate purchasing agents when supplies of specific items are low
  • Sending out product samples and literature
