Warehouse Team Lead

Shift

Monday - Friday 11AM - 7:30 PM (overtime as business requires).

Responsibilities

• Models the company's core values.

• Leads teams of employees to complete specific tasks throughout the warehouse.

• Trains all new employees within own department on standard operating processes and procedures.

• Coaches and mentors all employees within own department going beyond basic policies and procedures to include things like core values, etiquette, and team building.

• Audits the work of other employees within own department and reports all deficiencies to direct supervisor.

• Manages work-flow within the warehouse and consults with own supervisor on issues between warehouse and other departments.

• Reports personnel issues within own team to the floor supervisor.

• Serves as a resource for other employees throughout the department.

• Takes initiative to solve common problems as they arise.

• Is cross-trained on and performs the duties of all positions within own and at least one position within other departments.

• Inspects own work and the work of others to identify defects, errors and quality issues and takes action to report and/or correct issues.

• Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected.

• Review production tickets to identify and locate material and quantities to be used in production.

• Understand and adhere to all safety rules at all times

• Identify and correct any potential safety hazards and notify management of all actions taken as well as any additional actions needed to fully correct the problem.

• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, and other equipment.

• Pack and unpack product containers.

• Organize material and maintain storage areas in a safe, clean efficient manner.

• Compare packing slips to actual material received for all incoming freight.

• Other general duties not specifically listed.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
  • 2 plus years of experience in Warehousing or Production at Seal-Rite
  • Must be able to use an rf scanner.
  • Must be certified to operate all necessary machinery such as propane and electric forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, reach lifts, and side swing lifts (Drexel).
  • Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team in a time and safety sensitive environment.
  • Must have basic math skills and be able to read a tape measure and work orders.
