Our Door Division is seeking a Warranty Service Technician to join our team. This role is a full time, hourly position reporting directly to the Warranty Service Manager. Responsibilities

As a Warranty Service Technician for Palmer-Donavin, you will be the main point of contact for customers with technical service requests related to their custom entry door. The primary purpose of this position is to handle technical support requests from start to finish by communicating with customers, homeowners and installers to get the issues resolved.

 

Other responsibilities of the Service Technician role include:

  • Entering service and product replacement orders and recording comments
  • Maintaining a travel schedule based on open service calls 
  • Keeping a service log of actions taken
  • Inspecting open service requests and recommending coarse of action
  • Completing service calls at job sites and residential homes
  • Following up with customers on completed services
  • Maintaining a professional presence and representing Palmer-Donavin as a preffered business partner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who are mechanically inclined with a strong customer service focus and proactive problem solving skills. Qualified candidates should be highly motivated, hardworking, and detail oriented.

 

Other requirements of the Service Coordinator role include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • College courses or equivalent training and experience, a plus
  • Experience with subcontracting, specifically with entry-way doors, a plus
  • Comfortable with power tools and construction materials. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
